Returning a combo item works just like a regular return, with one difference: if you return only part of a combo for a refund, the combo discount comes out of your refund. See How to return an item for the full return steps.
How the Refund Math Works
When you buy a combo, the discount is shared across all items in that combo. If you keep some of the items and return others, the discount that applied to the returned item is taken back.

Why we subtract the discount: Otherwise you’d only be returning half of the combo while still getting a full refund and keeping Item 2 for free. To get a full refund, return the entire combo.
If the discount is greater than the item’s price, that item can’t be refunded on its own (the refund would be negative). It needs to be returned along with another item from the combo.
Some combos can’t be split. Certain combos must be returned in their entirety — individual items aren’t eligible for separate refund. Check the combo product page for specifics before starting your return.
