Time sync error

If your computer’s date and time are out of sync with your time zone, you may have trouble browsing Newegg or signing in to your account. Pick your operating system below to fix it.

Windows

Sync the clock on a Windows PC.

Mac

Sync the clock on a Mac.

Fix Time Sync on Windows

1. Open Date & Time settings.
Go to Start → Settings → Time & Language → Date & Time.

2. Set the time automatically.
Turn on Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically. If those options aren’t available, set the time and time zone manually.

3. Click Sync now (if shown).
Under Synchronize your clock, click Sync now to refresh.

Fix Time Sync on Mac

1. Open Date & Time settings.
Choose Apple menu → System Preferences → Date & Time.

2. Set the time automatically.
Check Set date and time automatically. If the option isn’t available, set the time and time zone manually.

3. Reload Newegg.
Once your clock is in sync, refresh the Newegg page and try again.

Why this happens: Newegg uses cookies to improve your shopping experience, and those cookies have expiration dates. When your computer’s clock is wrong, the website may think your cookies are expired, which can cause sign-in or browsing issues.
