Newegg offers four different types of gift cards: “Newegg Gift Cards, Promotional Gift Cards, Store Credit Gift Cards and Customer Care Gift Cards. Please see below for the terms and conditions that apply to each one.”
Newegg Gift Card Balance
All gift cards can be added to your Gift Cards account balance, regardless of type, and are subject to the terms specific to each card.
Your account balance reflects the total remaining amount from all gift cards added to your account but not yet used. To view your current balance, visit My Account, and navigate to Gift Cards on your Newegg profile.
When you make a purchase, the option to apply your gift card balance will automatically appear at checkout.
Rules That Apply to All Gift Card Types
Each Gift Card, Promotional Gift Card, Store Credit Gift Card, and Customer Care Gift Card (together, the “Cards”) is subject to the following rules unless a section below states otherwise for that Card type.
• Redemption: A Card can be redeemed only through www.newegg.com and only toward merchandise or services offered for sale in the country for which it was issued. Enter the Card ID and security code in the “Redeem Newegg gift cards” area at checkout, or apply your Gift Card Account balance when prompted.
• Partial use: If a purchase does not exhaust a Card’s balance, the remaining balance carries forward for future purchases. If a purchase exceeds the Card’s balance, the remainder must be paid with another payment method.
• No cash redemption: No Card is redeemable for cash, except to the extent required by law.
• Not a payment card: No Card is a credit card or debit card.
• No stacking toward new Cards: A Card cannot be used toward the purchase of a new Gift Card.
• No reloading: Additional credit cannot be added to a Card after it is issued.
• Resale: No Card may be resold. Newegg reserves the right to void any Card it believes has been resold.
• Balance inquiries: A Card holder can check balance and Card information at https://secure.newegg.com/shop/gcBalance using the Card ID and security code, or by calling Newegg Customer Service at (800) 390-1119 during normal business hours.
• Governing terms: Except to the extent of any express conflict with the Card-specific terms below, Newegg’s standard Policy and Agreement applies. All provisions are enforced except where prohibited by law.
Terms and Conditions for Gift Cards

A “Gift Card” is a gift card, whether in the form of a virtual e-card or an actual physical gift card, purchased from Newegg Inc. (“Newegg”). The term “Gift Card” does not include “Promotional Gift Card”, “Store Credit Gift Card” or “Customer Care Gift Card”.
The following forms of payment are accepted for Gift Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Gift cards cannot be returned for a cash refund (except to the extent required by law).
Gift Cards do not expire.
No Fee: Newegg will not assess a service fee or dormancy fee with respect to a Gift Card.
Lost or stolen Gift Cards are replaced (to the extent of remaining balance) only with valid proof of purchase.
Terms and Conditions for Promotional Gift Cards
The rules below are specific to Promotional Gift Cards. For redemption, balance checks, resale, and other terms shared across all Newegg gift cards, see “Rules That Apply to All Gift Card Types” above.
A “Promotional Gift Card” means any gift card, whether in the form of a virtual e-card or an actual physical card, given away by Newegg Inc. (“Newegg”) as part of an awards, loyalty or promotional program without any money or other thing of value being paid in exchange for the gift card. The term “Promotional Gift Card” does not include “Gift Card”, “Store Credit Gift Card” or “Customer Care Gift Card”.
A PROMOTIONAL GIFT CARD OFFERED WHEN YOU PURCHASE A PRODUCT WILL BE ISSUED TO YOU 4 DAYS AFTER YOU ARE INVOICED FOR YOUR PURCHASE.
Newegg is under no obligation to restore lost or stolen Promotional Gift Cards.
A PROMOTIONAL GIFT CARD EXPIRES ONE (1) YEAR AFTER IT IS ISSUED, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
Promo Gift Card—Refund: If you return an item that included a Promotional Gift Card, the gift card will be voided upon return. If any portion of the card has been redeemed, the redeemed amount will be deducted from your refund total. If a promotional gift card expires before a return is fully processed, its value cannot be refunded or reissued. This applies to all one-time-use or promotional gift cards.
Please note: Newegg reserves the right to block the customer account of any customer who repeatedly seeks to return an item (for which a Promotional Gift Card was issued when the item was purchased), after first using that Promotional Gift Card toward the purchase of a different item.
Terms and Conditions for Store Credit Gift Cards
The rules below are specific to Store Credit Gift Cards. For redemption, balance checks, resale, and other terms shared across all Newegg gift cards, see “Rules That Apply to All Gift Card Types” above.
A “Store Credit Gift Card” means any gift card, whether in the form of a virtual e-card or an actual physical card, issued by Newegg Inc. (“Newegg”) which is entitled “Store Credit Gift Card.”. The term “Store Credit Gift Card” does not include “Gift Card”, “Promotional Gift Card” or “Customer Care Gift Card”.
Newegg is under no obligation to restore lost or stolen Store Credit Gift Cards.
A Store Credit Gift Card does not expire.
Terms and Conditions for Customer Care Gift Cards
The rules below are specific to Customer Care Gift Cards. For redemption, balance checks, resale, and other terms shared across all Newegg gift cards, see “Rules That Apply to All Gift Card Types” above.
A “Customer Care Gift Card” means any gift card, whether in the form of a virtual e-card or an actual physical card, issued by Newegg Inc. (“Newegg”) and which is entitled “Customer Care Gift Card”. The term “Customer Care Gift Card” does not include “Gift Card”, “Promotional Gift Card” or “Store Credit Gift Card”.
Newegg is under no obligation to restore lost or stolen Customer Care Gift Cards.
A CUSTOMER CARE GIFT CARD EXPIRES ONE YEAR AFTER IT IS ISSUED.
If you receive a Customer Care Gift Card in connection with your purchase of an item, your Customer Care Gift Card will be voided if you subsequently return that item to Newegg for a refund.
