Auto Refresher – IP Ban

To make sure popular products go to real customers, Newegg uses bot protection to block scalpers, resellers, and anyone using automated software to gain an unfair advantage at checkout. If this kind of activity is detected on your network, your IP address may be permanently banned from Newegg.

What Counts as Automated Activity

Automated activity includes any tool, script, or browser extension that interacts with Newegg faster or more often than a normal shopper. Common examples include:

Auto-refreshers that reload product or cart pages to detect stock changes.

Bots and checkout scripts that add items to a cart and complete purchases automatically.

Crawlers and scrapers that pull product, pricing, or inventory data.

Loaders or other software that sends a high volume of requests in a short period.

Note: Using any of these tools — even casually or through a shared network — can result in a permanent IP ban.

Stay Up to Date the Right Way

To hear about launches and restocks as soon as they happen, follow @Newegg on X or click Auto Notify on any out-of-stock product page to get an email when it’s back in stock.
