How to place, track, and cancel an order

Place an Order

1. Find your item.
Use the search bar at the top of any page (try a keyword, model number, or item number), or browse categories from the left-hand menu. Once you’re on a results page, use Power Search in the left column to refine by brand, price, or spec.

2. Add to cart and check out.
Click Add to Cart on the product page, then open your cart and select Secure Checkout.

3. Enter your shipping and payment info.
You’ll be walked through shipping address, payment method, and delivery speed. Account holders can use saved info for a faster checkout; guests can choose Continue with Guest Checkout instead of signing in.

4. Apply a promo code (optional).
In the Payment section, open the Newegg gift card / Promo code / Eggpoints drop-down, enter your code, and click Apply.

5. Review and place your order.
Double-check your shipping address, payment, and order details. Agree to the Newegg Terms and Conditions, then click Place Order. A confirmation email will be sent right away.

Promo code rules

One promo code per item, used once. Newsletter codes require a subscription of at least 24 hours. Unless stated otherwise, a code works on up to 5 of the same item in a single order. Promo codes can’t be combined with combo discounts, used on items with free gifts, or applied at Newegg’s eBay store.

If an item is out of stock

Click Auto Notify on the product page to be emailed when it’s back in stock. This doesn’t reserve the item or price, but it gives you a head start. If there’s no Auto Notify option, the item isn’t confirmed to return.

Guest checkout vs. Newegg account

Guest checkout is fast and secure, but orders won’t appear in an account order history and your address and payment info won’t be saved. A Newegg account adds saved info, order history, invoices, exclusive promotions, and message access to Marketplace sellers.

Ordering by phone, fax, email, or mail: Newegg accepts orders online or by phone through Customer Service. We do not accept orders by fax, chat, email, or mail. Phone orders are not available for guest accounts.

Check Order Status

Orders typically take 1 to 2 business days to process before shipping (including Marketplace orders). Once your tracking number is generated, you’ll get an email — after that, delivery depends on the shipping speed you chose at checkout.

If you have a Newegg account

1. Sign in to your account.
Click your account name at the top right of any Newegg page.

2. Open Order History.
Under the My Account tab, select Order History to see all current and past orders, including ones in processing.

If you checked out as a guest

1. Open your order confirmation email.
Click View or Manage Order, then enter the email used at checkout.

2. Enter your verification code.
A 6-digit code will be sent to that email. Enter it to view your orders, status, and tracking — and to cancel, return, or report an issue if needed.

If you spot a mistake after ordering

If you notice an error in your billing or shipping information, contact Customer Service right away. Some details — like billing address or card info — can be corrected via email instructions if your payment provider allows. Shipping address corrections depend on the carrier and the package’s transit status; if the change can’t be made in time, the package will be delivered to the original address.

Cancel an Order

1. Find your order.
Sign in and open Order History, or use Track an Order for guest checkouts.

2. Click Cancel Order.
We’ll do our best to catch the order before it ships. You’ll get an email confirming the cancellation.

Cancellations are permanent. An order can’t be un-canceled — if you change your mind, you’ll need to place a new order. Items and pricing are not held for you. Refunds typically appear in 3–5 business days, but the exact timing depends on your bank and payment method.

If you can’t cancel your order

If the Cancel Order button isn’t available, your order is already past the cancellation window or in the packaging stage. You still have options:

Sold and shipped by Newegg: Once the package arrives, set up a return for qualifying items. If you plan to refuse delivery, see the refusing-a-delivery guidelines first.

Sold by a Marketplace seller: Contact the seller directly through your order page to request cancellation before shipment. If the order has already shipped, set up a return for qualifying items once it arrives.

International (Newegg Global) orders: The same rules apply, with one important difference — do not refuse international packages. Accept the delivery and start a return if needed.

If you plan to return: Keep your package closed and unopened until you’ve set up your return.
