How to fix the Android app if it’s not working

If the Newegg app for Android is crashing, freezing, or not loading correctly, a few quick troubleshooting steps usually fix the problem. Try them in the order below — most issues are resolved by the first or second tab.

The fastest fix — fully closing and reopening the app clears temporary glitches without changing any settings.

1. Open your phone’s recent apps view.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold, or tap the recent apps button, to see all apps running in the background.

2. Close the Newegg app.
Find the Newegg app card and swipe it up or off the screen. Then reopen the app from your home screen or app drawer.

Clearing the cache removes temporary data that may be causing the app to misbehave. This will not delete your account or saved information.

1. Open your phone’s Settings.
Tap the gear icon on your home screen or in the app drawer to open the main Settings menu.

2. Go to Apps & Notifications.
Select Apps & Notifications (it may be called Apps or Application Manager on some devices), then tap See all apps if shown.

3. Find and select the Newegg app.
Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find Newegg, then tap it to open the app’s settings.

4. Open Storage & Cache.
Tap Storage (or Storage & Cache) to see options for managing the app’s data.

5. Tap Clear Cache.
Select Clear Cache to remove temporary files. Reopen the Newegg app to see if the issue is resolved.

If clearing the cache didn’t help, removing and reinstalling the app will give you a fresh copy with the latest version.

1. Uninstall the Newegg app.
Press and hold the Newegg icon on your home screen or app drawer, then tap Uninstall and confirm. You can also uninstall it from Settings → Apps & Notifications → Newegg → Uninstall.

2. Reinstall from the Google Play Store.
Open the Google Play Store, search for Newegg, and tap Install. Sign back in with your Newegg account once the app is installed.

Note: Menu names and icons may look slightly different depending on your Android version and phone manufacturer (Samsung, Google Pixel, Motorola, etc.). The general steps will be the same.
